A jumble of accumulated advice

These are a collection of links I've gathered throughout my own growth as an academic.

There are a lot of un-taught lessons we are expected to learn as we develop into scientists and researchers (or whatever trajectory your own career path takes you). Lessons such as how to utilize faculty office hours, how to write an email that will get a useful response, or standards for a research poster.

Often students won't ask these questions. They worry it's 'something they should know', or they don't want to bother mentors. I hope these links will break down initial barriers, and embolden students to ASK FOR ADVICE from old or potential mentors. Good luck!
